Our bird boxes are a real collaborative effort between two of our volunteers. These are made to order, so there may be a delay in delivery. We will be in touch when we have received your order to let you know how long they will be.
The boxes themselves are lovingly made by Richard, who uses recyclable wood and non toxic, environmentally friendly paint to create a cosy little home for your feathered friends. The boxes have a removable floor so they can be emptied at the end of the nesting season. Please note that colour and construction may vary slightly due to recycled materials being used.
Each box comes with instructions for locating and mounting, as well as top tips for encouraging birds to set up home. This information has been provided by Jo, another FOGP volunteer who is a keen birdwatcher and RSPB member. In fact, he leads our Dawn Chorus walks in May!
If you buy one of our boxes, do send us photos of any feathered residents who set up home there and we’ll add them to our gallery!
