A message from our new Chairperson, Michelle Kaye
I am absolutely delighted to be taking on the role of Chair of The Friends of Goddington Park from January 2026, following our AGM in November 2025.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Lynn and Wendy, who are stepping down after their tremendous dedication and leadership. Their commitment to the Park and to our community has been invaluable, and I am very grateful for all they have done.
Having served as Secretary of FOGP since we were established in 2019, it has been a privilege to be part of the group from the very beginning. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and excited about what lies ahead.
One of the highlights of this last year was the Mayor’s Community Weekend on 14 September 2025, which was a resounding success. Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event, supported us on the day, and joined us for tea, cakes and the wonderful music from the Orpington Band, who played beautifully throughout the afternoon. We were also delighted to welcome local community groups hosting stalls, and it was fantastic to see younger visitors enjoying themselves on the inflatable football pitch kindly set up by Sportacus.
As many of you know, we receive no funding from Bromley Council and rely entirely on fundraising and grants to support improvements within the park. We are continuing our fundraising efforts, particularly to support our plans for enhancements to the under 5s playground.
I am also pleased to introduce our current committee:
Michelle Kaye – Chairperson
Trizia Wells – Secretary and Fundraising Lead
Emmanuel Facques – Treasurer and Environmental Lead
Sandeep Gollapudy – Social Media and Website Lead / Volunteer Lead
Sandeep Grover (Sandy) – Marketing Lead
We always welcome new volunteers to help us look after the park and support our fundraising efforts. If you are interested in getting involved, please do not hesitate to contact us. Drop us an email or pop along to our Join Us page! We would be delighted to add you to our mailing list for our newsletter, and you are also very welcome to join our WhatsApp group to stay up to date with activities and events. Please also follow us on social media.
Thank you to all our volunteers, supporters and community partners. I look forward to working with you as we continue to make Goddington Park a vibrant and welcoming space for everyone.

P.S.! You can read our constitution here. An amendment was made in November 2024, which you can see here.
22nd April 21
22nd April 2021 is Earth Day
We are very lucky to live near Goddington Park and to be able to walk on the grass, look up at the trees, listen to the birdsong and breathe the fresh air.
In the next couple of weeks we will be planting some hedge saplings supplied by the Woodland Trust to celebrate Earth Day.
Let’s all take care of our little piece of nature’s magic.

Talking rubbish
We have had a lot of new visitors to Goddington Park since the government has encouraged people to walk in their local parks and it has been wonderful to see so many people enjoying our (and their) beautiful park. Unfortunately a small minority have been throwing food wrappers etc on the ground and it makes the park look unloved and scruffy. I would like to ask everyone to please take their rubbish to the nearest bin or take it home. Some lovely people, unasked, have been collecting as much of the rubbish as they can and putting it in the bins. I can’t name them all but thank you to Angela and Alan, Steve, Liam and everyone who cares about our environment.
